Patricia Ramirez Named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education Administration

San Antonio, TX.…April 20, 2007–Patricia Ramirez, M.Ed., Principal of Frank M. Tejeda Academy has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education Administration. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee hand picks these special Who's Who honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service.

As Principal, Ramirez is responsible for running the school’s day to day operations, supervising students and staff members, coordinating budget and grant funds, grant writing, creating the master schedule, staff development, campus improvement plans and overall curriculum development. Her greatest career achievement consists of her “ability to turn schools around for the better by focusing on student achievement and by thinking and focusing on how students are taught. There have been dramatic signs of progress in my school and in others that I have served through an administrative role as well,” says Ramirez. The Frank M. Tejeda Academy is a public school that offers an enthusiastic and highly structured curriculum to students in seventh to twelfth grade.

Ramirez received her Masters Degree in Education Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Superintendent Certification. She is a member of the Texas Council of Women School Executives, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the Texas Association of School Administrators, the American Association of School Administrators, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Education Association and the Texas State Education Association.
